Film and TV Studios in IRELAND

Here is The Studio Map’s mini-directory to film studios located in Ireland. This organic post will be updated regularly to include broadcast/TV studios and links to new studios that are in the construction or planning stages. We invite all Irish-based production crew, managers or studio operators to contribute comments, advice and news here, regarding studio developments in Ireland.

Ireland is home to several world-class film studios but there is a thrust to expand the facilities because of international demand. Its popularity for productions is down to excellent tax breaks, fantastic rural locations, well-regarded English-speaking crew (a big attraction for US film companies), membership of the EU and Ireland’s renowned hospitality.

As a producer, The Studio Map is an invaluable tool for both my production teams and myself. It actually saves hours of trying to source and then review individual studio websites, all with varying specifics on offer that can quite frankly cause confusion. The clarity of this site versus other production guides allows the viewer a clean, swift search with all the finer details immediately to hand so they can make a fast decision on the right location. As a producer who shoots on a global scale I am glad to see TSM develop further beyond the UK and US to now providing key information for other countries including Ireland, which is renowned for its film production, crew and facilities. However, I would love to see the recommend studios here noted in more specific detail on their own page akin to the other UK and US versions as that is the key factor to save time and as we all know in production there is never enough time!

Hopefully over the next few years this list will expand and more will become available!
Great resource for a Location Manager like myself to have.
